On September 2, 2020, the virtual ceremony for the presentation of the credentials of the new Non-resident Ambassador of Singapore to the Argentine Republic, Dr. Leong Horn Kee, was held. Dr. Leong Horn Kee assumed this position, replacing the previous Ambassador, Dr. Michael Hwang

Ambassador Leong presented a virtual copy of the credentials to the Vice Chancellor of the Argentine Republic, Ambassador Pablo Anselmo Tettamanti in a ceremony held jointly at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship in Buenos Aires, and at the headquarters of the Argentine Embassy in Singapore. Ambassador Federico Barttfeld, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, received a copy of the aforementioned credentials in Singapore.

After the presentation of the credentials, Mr. Vice Chancellor and Ambassador Leong held a formal meeting in which they highlighted the consolidation of the diplomatic relationship between Argentina and Singapore and reviewed the main issues on the bilateral agenda between both countries
