Argentine Agribusiness Trade Mission to Singapore

On December 4, an Argentine agribusiness trade mission visited Singapore with the objective of increasing the sector's sales to the country. Throughout the day, 14 Argentine companies producing meat (beef, pork and poultry), seafood, wine, citrus and grains maintained more than 220 business meetings with more than 60 importers, distributors and local supermarkets at an event organized by the Embassy Argentina.

The meeting also included a lunch in which local government authorities and the most representative Chambers of the food and beverages sector, together with the businessmen of both countries that participated in the business rounds, were able to taste premium cuts of meat Argentina -provided by the Argentine Beef Promotion Institute- and a selection of some of the best wines of our country.

During the lunch, the Argentine Ambassador to Singapore, Federico Barttfeld, highlighted the complementarity of both economies and the opportunity that represents for the consumers of Singapore Argentine foods with the aim of diversifying their options with high quality products and very competitive prices.

The Argentine business mission had the support and coordination of the Argentine Ministry of Agribusiness, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, the Argentine Agency for Investment and Trade and the Argentine Embassy in Singapore, within the framework of the national strategy of smart insertion of the country in the international economy.
