Argentina at the World Gourmet Summit 2019

In the23rd Edition of the World Gourmet Summit, Argentina participated for the first time as an Official Destination Partner promoting its excellent gastronomy and wines through the active support of the Embassy of Argentina in Singapore. Master Chef Martin Rebaudino flew in from Buenos Aires to be hosted at the Swissotel The Stamford’s Skai Restaurant with an exclusive Argentine menu from April 24 to April 27.

At the WGS, Mr Rebaudino has also partnered with Ambassador Federico Barttfeld for a one-night only demonstration. Guests to WGS Masterchef Dining Delights events at Skai restaurant were able to enjoy certified organic Argentine Bartlett Pears from the valley of the Rio Negro River which is fed by snow melt from the Andes; Wild Argentine Red Prawn that are caught in the deep glacial waters near Antarctica and grass-fed Angus beef from the Argentine Lowlands called The Pampas.

The World Gourmet Summit is a unique annual event that provides an epicurean platform to meet the world’s top chefs and wine experts displaying their best skills in a celebration of cuisines and talents with a line-up of culinary stars, masterclasses, wine tasting sessions, dining events and special menus at various restaurants.
